What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a comprehensive qualification that encompasses Knowledge, Competency, Work skills, English and Maths. Please contact us to discuss your needs or click on 'our courses' page to find out what training we provide. We offer a range of apprenticeships for learners, funding is available depending on your age and employment status.
Can I get funding?
At ABM we work with a range of partner providers to ensure we secure funding available for the majority of work based learning courses that we deliver. Please contact us to discuss your individual needs as each case is looked at closely to make sure you are on the correct courses. The SFA provides funding for learners dependant on age and current qualifications. Contact us now to find out if funding is available for you or click on the skill area to find out more about the courses we offer.
Can I still work while I learn?
Work based learning gives you the opportunity to learn while you work and gain qualifications in your chosen profession. Work based learning is convenient and is designed to benefit the learner and the employer; it provides robust training and career progression. We work with you to decide the best time for you to be assessed and how you can complete all the knowledge required for the qualifications. Our assessors are flexible and have extensive experience in the skill area they deliver.
Where will I learn?
Apprenticeships and Diplomas are delivered in the workplace. We also have training centres where learners can attend should this be more convenient to the learner. After choosing the qualification units that suit your job, you will be assigned a tutor who will assess your knowledge and your competency in your skill, they will visit you at work to collect course work and to observe you working to the standards. Short courses are also delivered in the work place to groups of learners as required; employers will book these courses and invite their employees to attend.
